Small group instruction should be a time to support students to integrate everything they are learning about reading.
Below is a short (30 minute self-paced training on using the Science of Teaching Reading to plan small group instruction for your class.
The small group framework is flexible based on student need. Below the training, are some small group lessons that cover a variety of levels that you can try with your students. They are grouped by the Lexile level of the article and then by the skills that are covered during the lesson.

All the lessons developed by The Home Reading Collective include phonics to support decoding and/or vocabulary through the study of morphemes then go through the four phases of comprehension development which is then integrated into writing.
